Commenting on the Global Connections Survey published today by the Scottish Government, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson Jeremy Purvis MSP said:
"Given the importance of exports to the Scottish economy and the progress that needs to be made in helping more businesses export and those businesses that do export to export more, it has been very disappointing that over the last year there has been no Chief Executive of the Government's export agency.
"We believe there should be one body promoting Scotland abroad and helping businesses export.
"This one body, Scotland International, will replace the three bodies currently promoting Scotland in a less than coherent way."
